Rain, Traffic, and The Gospel

What an adventure it’s been with rain, traffic, and lots of ministry work! Over the past few days, we visited four schools—two elementary and two high schools. We had a wonderful return to Humble Souls Educational Centre, where we had some great talks about God’s remedy for sin and how to build a relationship with Jesus. To show their appreciation for our visit, the school’s Scouting Department put together a guard of honor for Jeff Bell, our Royal Servants Trip Leader.
On Monday, we visited Pricy Junior Educational Centre, an elementary school. Jeff couldn't help but laugh at the name 'Pricy' since the tuition is so cheap 😂. These past two days have been all about our first ministry efforts in high schools. Despite the torrential rain and leaking roof at Prince John Secondary School, we had engaging conversations during our small group discussions. We divided our team into smaller groups to manage the situation, as the roof leaks forced us to keep moving. Despite the challenges, the team had a great time with the ministry, and it was amazing to see students in one of the small groups praying to accept Christ! After that, we had to navigate the notoriously heavy traffic in Nairobi on our way back home 😥.

Today’s ministry was at Bookshine High School, and we didn’t realize we’d be walking into an event with students from another nearby school. Even though we were short on time and had a hard time splitting them into small groups, we managed to share the message of Christ, and at least one student prayed to accept Him!
