Haggling and Unexpected Twists

21 Jul 2025
It’s been 10 days since our last update, and our mission teams have been busy embracing both adventure and ministry! From cultural immersion at the Giraffe Center and the vibrant Maasai Market - where haggling was a new thrill and “free” came with a price - our Royal Servants team dove into unique experiences. We’ve also enjoyed savoring authentic cultural meals, adding flavor to our journey.

On the ministry front, we visited a children’s home, a high school, and two elementary schools, sparking meaningful conversations about Jesus in small groups and witnessing several students come to faith. Despite the highs, surprises kept us on our toes, as Tim (Royal Servants Trip Leader) quipped, “Don’t you love Africa?” Two high schools canceled on us -one due to an unexpected visit from Kenya’s President, halting nearly everything in the area. We also ministered at GPT Hebron City, led by DICE’s patron, sharing testimonies, ministering to people at a Medical Camp, and teaching children and teens. As our final ministry day wraps up, it’s hard to believe how fast time flew. Now, our two teams are entering debrief mode, reflecting on God’s work this summer and the lessons we’ll carry into everyday life and future ministry.
